Elevate Capital Group has recently announced the appointment of Anthony Couse as a partner. According to a press release dated September 8, Couse, who previously served as the CEO for Asia Pacific (Apac) at JLL, will be working closely with Elevate’s founder and managing partner Ashish Manchharam to further accelerate the firm’s growth. This includes focusing on expanding investor partnerships, increasing acquisitions, and enhancing asset management strategies.
With a career spanning over 35 years at JLL, Couse brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. He most recently held the position of Apac CEO from 2016 to January 2025. Prior to that, he served as the managing director for Eastern China and Shanghai for over a decade and also spent 12 years at JLL’s Hong Kong office.
Manchharam also started his career at JLL and spent over 12 years with the firm, focusing on investment deals and capital markets across Hong Kong, Singapore, and the wider region. In 2014, he left JLL to establish his own real estate investment firm, 8M Real Estate. In 2023, Manchharam sold his share in the company to Hong Kong-based Crane Capital and subsequently founded Elevate in the following year. The Singapore-based boutique real estate investment and asset management firm specializes in lifestyle-centric real estate investments.
In August 2024, Elevate made its first acquisition with the joint purchase of Stamford Court, a commercial building on Hill Street in the Downtown Core, with PGIM Real Estate for $132 million. Currently, the development is undergoing repositioning and asset enhancement works and is expected to reopen in the first half of 2026.
“I have always admired Anthony’s ability to navigate complex markets with clarity and conviction,” says Manchharam. “We have worked together in the past, and I am excited to have him on board as we continue to drive Elevate’s success.”
Couse adds, “Joining Elevate at this stage in its growth is an incredible opportunity to help scale a business with strong momentum and a clear vision. I look forward to working with Ashish and the team to deepen our investor base, grow our portfolio, and create lasting value.”
