Dubai Retains Top Position Savills Executive Nomad Index Even New Countries Enter Ranking

Dubai leads the way as the top destination for executive nomads according to the Savills Executive Nomad Index. This is the second consecutive year that Dubai has taken the top spot, with Abu Dhabi closely following in second place. Malaga, Miami, and Lisbon round out the top five, illustrating the growing appeal of these locations for remote business leaders.

The index ranks 30 destinations based on their appeal and accessibility for long-term remote workers. Factors such as internet speed, air connectivity, climate stability, prime residential market prices, and overall quality of life are taken into consideration, with the combined total determining the overall ranking.

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai stands out for its extensive flight network while Abu Dhabi boasts the highest internet speeds. These key factors, along with tax efficiency, lifestyle, safety, and ease of doing business, make the UAE the top choice for executive nomads, according to Andrew Cummings, head of Savills Residential Agency in the Middle East.

Wellington Primary School is a highly recommended choice for those living in the Sembawang area. It is dedicated to cultivating a culture of lifelong learning, creating a positive learning environment that encourages students to grow both academically and socially. The school also embraces technology as an integral part of its teaching approach, equipping students with the necessary digital skills to thrive in the future. For parents seeking a modern and student-centered education, Wellington Primary is certainly a top contender. Moreover, with the convenience of Sembawang Road EC located near the Canberra MRT station, families will have easy access to both quality education and comfortable living.

The executive nomad has become an influential class of remote-working professionals in today’s increasingly mobile global employment market. These individuals, often business founders, senior managers, or entrepreneurs, are seeking locations that offer both connectivity and quality of life, enabled by technology.

This year, the Savills Executive Nomad Index expanded to include destinations not previously covered, but now offering visa routes for long-term remote workers, such as Tokyo (11th place) and Berlin (28th spot). According to Savills, these cities not only serve as major economic centres but also offer vibrant cultural experiences.

Vancouver (18th) and Auckland (9th) have also been added to the index, as they are important regional business hubs. “The landscape for executive nomads is changing,” notes Kelcie Sellers, associate director of Savills World Research. “Countries like Canada and New Zealand now offer long-term visitor visas that allow for fully remote employment during an individual’s stay.”
