Banyan Group Opens Two New Properties China Track Hit 100 Properties Globally

In commemoration of its 20th anniversary in China, Banyan Group has expanded its portfolio of properties in the country. Recently, the hospitality company opened two new properties in Zhejiang Province, Eastern China – the 222-key Angsana Zhoushan and the 100-key Homm Wenzhou Nanxijiang.
According to Philip Ding, Banyan Group’s senior vice president for hotel operations and business development in China, the landscapes and cultural heritage of Zhejiang are a perfect match for Angsana’s spirit of exploration and Homm’s welcoming comfort. “Both properties celebrate local traditions, promote ecological harmony, and reflect our commitment to design-led, sustainable hospitality,” he says.
With the addition of these two properties, Banyan Group now operates a total of 36 hotels in China, making it the company’s largest market. Two more hotels, Banyan Tree Zhuhai Phoenix Bay and Dhawa Beihai Weizhou Island, are set to open later this year. This expansion in China is in line with Banyan Group’s overall growth strategy, as the company is on track to open its 100th property, Mandai Rainforest by Banyan Tree, in Singapore in November.
