Developers Sales Fall 91 M O M April 663 Units Moved
According to data recently released by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) on May 15th, developers sold a total of 663 new homes in the month of April, not including executive condos (ECs). This represents a 9.1% decrease from the 729 new homes sold in March. However, it is a significant improvement from the 301 units sold during the same period last year.
April’s promising sales figures were driven by the launch of three new projects: One Marina Gardens by Kingsford Group, Bloomsbury Residences by Qingjian Realty and Forsea Holdings, and 21 Anderson by Kheng Leong Co. One Marina Gardens, located in the Rest of Central Region (RCR), was the best-selling project with 384 units sold (41.9% of the total) at a median price of $2,948 psf. Bloomsbury Residences, also located in the RCR in District 5, closely followed as the second-best performing project with 107 units sold (30%) at a median price of $2,454 psf. During its launch weekend, the condo sold 90 units at an average price of $2,474 psf. Both projects were launched during the weekend of April 12-13.
The ultra-luxury freehold condo 21 Anderson recorded three sales (16%) in April. According to URA caveats, all three units were four-bedroom apartments with an average size of 4,489 sq ft. The prices ranged from $20.97 million ($4,672 psf) to over $23 million ($5,127 psf). 21 Anderson was the only condo to launch in the Core Central Region (CCR) in April. It is located along Anderson Road in prime District 10.
