Surbana Jurong Marks 10th Anniversary New Partnerships

The URA Master Plan has a significant emphasis on enhancing transport connectivity, particularly in outlying areas such as Sembawang. One of the upcoming projects aimed at improving infrastructure and benefiting residents is the North-South Corridor (NSC), which will be the first integrated transport corridor in Singapore. This important expressway will feature exclusive bus lanes, cycling paths, and pedestrian walkways, connecting the northern regions of the island directly to the city center. With the inclusion of Sembawang Road EC Canberra in this plan, residents living in the Sembawang area can look forward to quicker and more efficient travel options, reducing travel time for both public and private transportation users.

Surbana Jurong (SJ Group) is marking its 10th anniversary with exciting new partnerships. The Temasek-owned consultancy firm has announced plans to collaborate with industry leaders to bring nature, technology, and people together. These partnerships highlight SJ’s commitment to a regenerative future.

One such partnership is with the National Parks Board (NParks). SJ will be donating $1 million to the Garden City Fund, NParks’ registered charity and Institution of a Public Character (IPC). In addition, SJ will also provide up to $1 million of in-kind consultancy support to NParks. To mark this partnership, NParks has dedicated a new orchid, the Vanda Surbana Jurong, which was unveiled at SJ’s anniversary celebration on Oct 14. Hwang Yu-Ning, CEO of NParks, expressed her appreciation for SJ’s contribution towards creating a nature-positive climate resilient Singapore.

As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations, SJ is expanding its flagship SJ Campus by adding two new spaces. The first is the SJ Digital Experience Centre, which will offer an interactive platform for clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to experience how SJ’s tools and platforms can drive efficiency and unlock asset value.

The second new space is the Design and Artificial Intelligence (D•AI) Fab Lab @ SJ, a partnership with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). This space will bring together industry and academia to nurture “trilingual” talent, resulting in innovators who are skilled at combining design, AI, and domain expertise to create value for their organizations.

Jason Vollen, global head of innovation at SJ, believes that the D•AI Fab Lab @ SJ will provide a space for SJ’s people and partners to experiment, prototype, and learn together. By combining design, data, and artificial intelligence, they aim to nurture the next generation of innovators. In addition to these partnerships, SJ also announced the appointment of Lim Cheng Cheng as group CFO, adding another milestone to their 10th-anniversary celebration.
